Fritz-Zyme™ is used in new aquarium systems to rapidly establish the bacterial level of the biofilter, and in old systems where the biofilter needs to be re-established due to a disturbance to the bacteria (generally from a medication). Fritz-Zyme is also used when there is an addition of animals that would otherwise overburden the nitrifying bacteria already present.
